Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful skirt This is a terrific skirt. I get may compliments on it. It has a great swing to it, perfect for the office. Even the guys I work with will ask me where i got it because they are looking for a present for their wife. I hope they bring it back in more colors - the real colors like deep Navy, and sumptuous purple, rich brown. I like that it lengthens after being hung...and it does tighten back up after washing. its just perfect.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Warning - this skirt gets longer This skirt fit perfectly out of the box, hitting mid-calf. I hung it up for 3 weeks waiting for the right weather. When I put it on again it swept the floor. Out of enthusiasm I had ordered a second skirt in a different color, which was still in its box, so I had the chance to measure them against each other. The skirt that had hung in my closet was 4 inches longer than the same size right out of the box. Reluctantly I returned them both. PC should quality-test their fabrics a little more carefully, I think.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Swing I guess that I don't feel quite like the other reviewers about this skirt. Maybe it's the material--it feels sort of artificial , though the weight is nice. I like the length, the swing. I guess it feels like an average sort of skirt. I'm still hoping that the elastic in the waistlines could be tighter...Elastic can always stretch, but it doesn't shrink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Every Penny I have a many year-old black wool PC skirt that is a staple in my winter wardrobe (similar to the Essex Skirt offered this season in brown); in the summer, PC's pima cotton skirt is a staple. In the fall, the wool skirt is too hot, and the cotton one is too light. This looked like a true season spanning option. Based on the photos, I expected the skirt to have a jersey-type fabric. Even better, it is a thicker, much more substantial knit fabric with definite ribbing. The engineering of the cut is perfect -- nicely fitted through the abdomen and upper hips, before delicately sweeping downwards. I have to say that I look great, and feel great in this skirt. $149 for a basic black skirt may seem steep, but there's nothing basic about it. I think it's entirely worth it. I know I'll wear it many times in the coming years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Demure Sidekick Sometimes pants won't do. Wanting a classic skirt to keep onboard as a versatile staple, I ordered this in black. The amount of attention you seek, can be expressed up or down, by pairing with your favorite Peruvian Connection tops, cardis, accessorizing... This skirt has wonderful detailing, stitching similar to--yet not exactly darts by the waist, more of this stitching creating gores in the body of the skirt, allowing a flirtatious flow. You might enter the room being noticed for your own merits, then someone calls to you, & as you spin around, this skirt twirls with you in the most fetching way.
