Rated 1 out of 5 by from disappointing Beautiful fabric and colours and so want it to fit! But the cut is wrong for me and the teenages say I look like a barge, or plain and simple fat. The pockets make it stick out over the hips and the bigger size gapes. Really want to own this beautiful coat but just not right for me, or my small shape (usually S or XS)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I should have "listened" to the other reviewers I have 3 closets and many drawers full of PC clothing, half of which is size S and half is XS (with a PS thrown in here and there). While visiting the D.C. store I tried on the only tendrils sweater coat available, a Small, and it was swimming on me. Oh well, I thought, until they told me an XS would become available soon. I made my other purchases and left. In the store, the tendrils coat showed lovely colors, just right. I was really looking forward to receiving my XS, and went home and placed the order. I waited, and waited. Finally, the XS arrived. It was even bigger on me than the Small in D.C.! The colors were duller than the D.C. one, as well. My seamstress told me that to alter the sleeves and make the collar "stand" closed, it would cost over $100. (She is worth every penny, and has altered many other PC garments for me.) Taking into account the cost of this item, the fact that the colors were duller and, finally, that --as the other reviewers pointed out-- the coat splays open, I am reluctantly returning it. I had such high hopes! I will, of course, be back for many other items, as I believe in PC. It's just that this particular article was a disappointment.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very disappointed! I waited a long time for this coat to arrive as it was out of stock when I received the catalog. It looked exquisite as I took it out of the box, a sumptuous, warm knit in gorgeous colors. The honeymoon ended when I tried it on--the fit was okay--I usually wear a 6 or 4 and the 6 was fine. However, the front edges of the coat do not hang straight like they do on the model in the catalog. They veer off to the sides as though the fabric was not cut on a straight grain or there was some flaw in the assembly, leaving the coat to gap open down the front. For the price, the level of quality control is unacceptable, and I will be returning it. Such a shame!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I thought it was going to be a structured, lined coat of a brocaded fabric. Instead it was a floppy, unlined sweater-type coat. I do want to say that I do love everything else I've bought from you and I do look forward to seeing the next catalogue.

Our sweater-coat is a lush landscape of swirling tendrils borrowed from a Tibetan textile. Jacquard knit in subtle hues of teal and peat baby alpaca (70%) and wool (30%), then felted for substance. Detailed with a stand collar, double-breasted placket and a high waist that releases into sculptural pleats to ease the silhouette.
